Gundlach: My Marginal Tax Rate 52.6%, And It's 'Really Weird' That People Like Mitt Romney Pay 14%
Gundlach compares his marginal rate with Romney's effective rate, which is taxes ÷ taxable income. In addition, Gundlach is comparing his federal plus statemarginal rate (that's an extra 13.3%) with Romney's federal onlyeffective rate.
I'm not suggesting that Romney paid "enough", merely that Gundlach is good at manipulating figures for his personal benefit. (No surprise there.)
