Is There Too Much Innovation In Equity ETFs?

FYI: The Inside ETFs conference taking place this week in Florida is, of course, a self-congratulatory love fest for the exchange-traded fund industry. So it was refreshing to hear an outside voice injecting a little skepticism about ETFs and the role they play in the investing ecosphere.

Granted, the questions asked by Robin Wigglesworth, U.S. markets editor for the Financial Times, were likely well-orchestrated for the panel he hosted with esteemed members of the ETF community. But it did make for an interesting discussion.
