These 3 ETFs Follow The Money — But Should You Invest In Them?

FYI: Cash may be king, but getting access to the throne is complicated. A handful of new exchange-traded funds aim to get investors closer, but it’s too soon to tell whether they’ll be trusted advisors or simply court jesters.

Stockpickers are increasingly focusing on companies with high free cash flow, a measure of the money left over after a business pays for operating expenses (that is, costs involved in running the business—payroll, rent, taxes) and capital expenditure (money spent on maintaining or expanding physical assets like buildings and equipment). Free cash flow is a gauge of a company’s ability to weather a government shutdown, trade wars, geopolitical tensions, ballooning deficits, and recessions.
