Dividend Investing Is Bizarre

FYI: I’m utterly fascinated by how many dividend investing blogs i see on my Twitter feed. Everybody constantly reciting their monthly cashflow numbers, talking about new stocks that they are buying, swapping war stories about how bad the markets have been. And the thing is, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever why this whole phenomenon is a thing. I mean, I just don’t get it at all.

It’s as if the entire world is taking crazy pills and is looking high and low for an investment class that is designed to produce low risk free cashflow, yet is entirely ignorant that there are these things called “bonds” which are designed to do exactly that.

I’m not going to sugarcoat it. I think a dividend only investment plan is really, really odd.

Ted
