FYI: As trade tensions mounted last year, small-cap stocks were seen as a refuge because of their domestic orientation. As market volatility mounted into year-end, though, even small caps suffered. By Dec. 31, the Russell 2000 index was down 11.01%. Click through to see the five small-cap funds with the best showing last year, according to data from Morningstar Inc., followed by the five small caps with the worst showing.
