The Closing Bell: Oil Slide, China Worries Send Wall Street Tumbling
FYI: U.S. stocks came under pressure Friday, as renewed global-growth concerns weighed on shares of everything from technology to materials to energy companies.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 202 points, or .77%, to 25988. The S&P 500 lost 0.92%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite shed 1.65%. The Dow and S&P 500 are still on track to end the week with gains while Friday’s losses threaten to cut the Nasdaq’s weekly gains after a run-up following the midterm elections.
