FYI: October was a bad month for markets, both in the United States and globally. The S&P 500 Index dropped 6.9%, its biggest one-month loss since 2011, amid concerns about rising interest rates and trade tensions. Technology stocks were particularly hard-hit — the Nasdaq ended October down more than 9%.
