The Rally in Turkey’s Stock Market Could Be Short-Lived: (TUR)
FYI: Looking for a stock market that has gone up over the past few months? Try Turkey. The iShares MSCI Turkey exchange-traded fund (ticker: TUR) has jumped nearly 20% since Sept. 1. The national currency, the lira, has enjoyed a similar rebound against the dollar. Turkish president Recep Erdogan, meanwhile, lifted his geopolitical stock by freeing imprisoned U.S. clergyman Andrew Brunson and playing the good guy in the furor around dead Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
