Here's What You Should Do If Your ETF Undergoes An Index Change

FYI: When the composition of an index changes, ETFs that track it must adjust their holdings. Such an index change can have significant consequences for investors.

But what if an ETF decides to completely switch out an index for another? Investors should check whether the ETF and its new benchmark are still aligned with their original investment goals.
