Hi John. To be honest, my favorite fund(s) could turn out to be a disaster for you and vice versa. We could be on very different investing paths and each of us could have missed or made the turns toward opportune rewards or usefulness of these investments within our overall portfolio construction.

Having said that I rely (or have the most confidence in) primarily on the PIMCO's CEF's for income (PCI, PDI, PTY). I also use KIO, OXLC, FPF and SEMPX but they were all bought at much different price points, z-scores, premium/discounts etc., than they have today. Granted they make me happy but I am always on the lookout for better opportunities. I search for value and not necessarily the highest dividend.
