Three Things of Investment Interest ... Friday August 31, 2018 ... Barometer Part 4

edited August 2018 in The OT Bullpen
The three things of investment interest for today follow. First up is a report about personal income and spending. Second is an article on how to cut investment risk. And, the third thing is about some of the minor feeds used in Old_Skeet's barometer.

3). Three of the minor feeds that are used to adjust the reading produced by the barometer's three main feeds are short interest, investor sentiment and interest rates (yield curve). In review the three major feeds are an earnings feed, a breadth feed and a technical score feed. The minor feeds can move the reading either upward or downward. Remember a higher barometer reading indicates there is more investment value in the S&P 500 Index over a lower reading. A month ending report will follow over the weekend which will cover the summer months of June, July & August and will appear under the thread titled 'Old Skeet's Market Barometer Report & Recaps ... June, July & August."

Thanks for stopping by and reading.

Wishing all a great holiday weekend ... but, most of all ... "Good Investing."
