AQR's The Curious Investor: Superstar Investors: Podcast

FYI: In this episode, hosts Dan Villalon and Gabe Feghali explore the methods of some of the greatest investors of all time: Warren Buffett, Bill Gross, George Soros and Peter Lynch. It turns out these superstar geniuses don’t have a magic touch at all. Their greatness is in large part reward for exposure to some of the very factors discussed earlier in the season. Dan and Gabe speak to AQR Principal and co-founder David Kabiller, who examined Buffett’s track record in a paper aptly named Buffett’s Alpha. They also sit down with AQR Managing Director Jordan Brooks, who crunched the numbers and co-wrote a paper on all four of these superstars with Dan. Each of these winning investors went through bouts of prolonged underperformance. But what made them stand out was that even when the going got tough, they had the conviction to stick to their philosophies.

Ted
