I know I'm late on this, but I just noticed it while looking through charts. POAGX (Primecap Odyssey Aggressive Growth) really dropped in late July 2011; any idea why it dropped so precipitously? Friday NAVs: 7/22/11=$18.58, 7/29/11=$17.51, 8/5/11=$15.33, 8/12/11=$15.34, 8/19/11=$14.52 !
Was it concentrated in one or a few stocks that got hammered? Thx
Looks like the fund was just part of the sell in the broad equity markets at the time; and being aggressive growth, the fund may have had exposure to particular areas.
