Three Things of Investment Interest ... Tuesday August 28, 2018 ... Barometer Part 2

edited August 2018 in The OT Bullpen
This is an early edition as I will be traveling for holiday most of Tuesday & Wednesday.

The three things of investment interest follow below. The first being commentary from Jeffrey Saut of Raymond James (Market All Time High). The second thing is Ron Rowland Market Leadership Strategy. And, the third thing is a blurb about the breadth feed found in Old_Skeet's market barometer.

3) The Breadth Feed ... Another major feed in Old_Skeets market barometer is the breath feed. Currently, I'm using the number of stocks (percent wise) in the S&P 500 Index above their 50 day moving average. I have scaled this feed into five categories. They are fair value, under value, oversold, overvalued & overbought. The feed provides information about a bull run wheather it is a shallow one or deep one along with where a potential ceiling might be approaching. Once a high percent of stocks above the 70% range is reached their is only so much room left for upward price movement before a near term ceiling begins to be reached. The below graph will provide some interesting information as to clues that a peak might be taking place and a near term ceiling is close to being reached. The feed scaling used for the barometer will have to remain a mystery but clues can be found in the graph.
