Will Self-Indexing Trend Help ETF Providers Compete In Fee Wars?

FYI: While self-indexing of ETFs has been around for a while, the trend has accelerated in recent years as fee wars rage on.
Big fund managers such as Invesco (IVZ), State Street (STT), BlackRock (BLK), Fidelity and other ETF providers have built their own indexes (self-indexing) to lower fees and offer a more tailored product.
