Evolution Of A Short Seller

FYI: Frederick “Shad” Rowe is a long-only consumer focused investor with a stellar track record over 3 decades. In this talk, Shad shares stories from his days as a short seller in the 80s, his model of three stages of a company, the philosophy of better-faster-cheaper, and the art of customer focus.

Frederick (Shad) Rowe founded Greenbrier Partners, a Dallas-based investment fund, in 1985. Prior to founding Greenbrier Partners, he was president of Rowe & Company Inc. Investment Brokers/Bankers, which he founded in 1978. He received a bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University, served in the U.S. Navy and received an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
