Q&A With Chuck Clough, Manager, Clough Global Long/Short Fund (CLOAX)

FYI: Since 2000, Chuck Clough has quietly run an investment firm in Boston. The legendary Merrill Lynch analyst left his post in 1999—his bearishness clashed with the firm’s resolutely rosier outlook—and Clough has since built a team of enthusiastic stockpickers overseeing $2.1 billion of assets, much of it in a long/short strategy, including the $48 million Clough Global Long/Short fund (ticker: CLOAX), launched at the end of 2015. In recent years, Clough says, his firm’s performance “flatlined while ETFs were driving the S&P 500,” which sent assets at Clough Capital Partners down by a third.
Regards,
Ted
