Legendary U.S. Guitar-Maker Gibson Files For Bankruptcy

FYI: Gibson Brands Inc, the maker of guitars played by the likes of B.B. King and Elvis Presley, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Tuesday with a plan to reorganize its musical instrument business under the new ownership of its lenders.

    'Course, I don't know the details; but when "private equity" grabs a hold of these type of companies; seems they just throw money at them. They surely don't know much about the company and I'm sure they never ask the employees what might work better.
    And sometimes, tis time has run its course.

  • Thanks Ted. It bring back fond memory of amazing guitar of Mark Knopfler. Don't see the same level of performance today.
