FYI: Pershing Square Capital Management, the firm run by activist investor Bill Ackman, is coming off a terrible multiyear performance run and is contending with elevated redemptions. The firm’s assets under management have dropped to $8.2 billion at the end of March from a peak of more than $18 billion at the start of 2015.
Ackman’s troubles are reflected in the depressed price of Pershing Square Holdings, a $3.9 billion closed-end equity fund listed in Europe.
