FYI: U.S. stocks looked set for a fall at the open Friday, but were heading for a weekly win, as investors focused on what the next batch of earnings reports could bring.
Corporate results this week have been somewhat of a mixed bag, with disappointment over Philip Morris International Inc.’s update on Thursday triggering losses for stocks. Honeywell International Inc. and General Electric Co. are expected to report ahead of the bell Friday.
