Voya Pays $3.6 Million To Settle SEC Charges Against Its Two Advisor Firms

FYI: Voya Financial Inc. has agreed to pay $3.6 million to settle SEC charges that two subsidiaries misled mutual fund investors and failed to disclose conflicts of interest in a securities lending agreement that benefited two insurance affiliates.

More than $2 million of the settlement will go to affected mutual fund shareholders who weren’t told about the deals, according to the SEC.
