FYI: Rising interest rates are the new reality. Since hitting a low in June 2016, the 10-year U.S. Treasury rate has almost doubled, from 1.49% to 2.94%, through Feb. 21 this year. The two-year rate has also risen nearly fourfold, from 0.59% to 2.26%. The market doesn’t anticipate a pause in coming Fed meetings either: Goldman Sachs, for example, estimates a 95% chance of another rate hike this March.
