FYI: His $2.2 billion Janus Henderson Global Unconstrained Bond Fund lost 0.83% on Monday, according to data compiled by Bloomberg LP, as the stock market dropped almost 5% and measures of volatility spiked. The Janus Fund recovered 0.11% yesterday.
Put differently: If a client invested $10,000 in the Janus Unconstrained fund at the end of 2017, as of Feb. 4, he or she would have had an additional $40, according to Morningstar data. The Unconstrained category delivered $59 on top of the principal, but Gross was beating the Bloomberg Barclays Agg, which would have lost about $182.

Ted
