Art Cashin: This rally's roots are in the global economy
Art Cashin and sidekick Bob Pisani discussed the action of the stock rally. Art gives President Trump partial credit for the stock market rally in the past year, but he notes that many world markets have rallied in the past year and the roots of the rally stem from the global economies. Art's hair was a mess, like he just got out of his convertible.
Art's take is basically consistent with ECRI's. They've put out numerous updates and articles citing the cyclical upturn in leading indicators well before the election, e.g., here.
