FYI: The Nasdaq Composite Index is on pace to make fresh history on Friday, as Apple Inc. helps to propel the technology sector to new heights.
The technology-stacked Nasdaq COMP, +0.70% is looking at a 63 record in 2017, which would surpass the previous record of 62 all-time closing highs in a calendar year rung up in 1980, which was matched on Oct. 31, according to WSJ Market Data Group.
