some Fri night comedy - OTOT

For real.
Trump today talked about another territory struck by hurricanes as if it were a foreign country. He said in a speech at the Values Voters Summit [where materials on the health harms of homosexuality were distributed] that he met with the president of the US Virgin Islands. Of course the Virgin Islands don't have a president; they have a governor --- with whom Trump met 10 days ago. In fact, their president is Trump himself, since they're Americans. Also of course, yesterday the Energy Secretary referred to PR a country.

I'm guessing that half of the folks in the crowd didn't know the US Virgin Islands were a part of the US.
