TD Ameritrade Closes Acquisition Of Scottrade Financial Services, Inc.
FYI: (Sorry, I'm a little late with this news.) D Ameritrade Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: AMTD) announced today that it has completed its acquisition of Scottrade Financial Services, Inc.
For TD Ameritrade, the transaction adds significant scale and distribution capabilities for its investing services and education. The combination of its award-winning trading technology and long-term investing solutions with Scottrade’s larger branch network is expected to enhance the investing experience for millions of investors.
That's okay Ted, it's probably a non-event. Despite having substantial holdings with Scottrade I haven't heard one peep or word from them or TDA during the whole process. Everything I learned I gained from other news sources.
p.s. I transferred all those holdings 2 weeks ago to a different brokerage firm.
