Jason Zweig: A 117% Gain In A Year? Why, That’s Nothin’!

FYI: The triple-digit and even quadruple-digit gains that some people have gotten (at least for now!) on bitcoin and other cryptocurrency-related speculations don’t just remind me of the Internet bubble in 1999 and early 2000. They also remind me of stock-picking contests and this article I wrote more than a decade ago. The urge to get rich isn’t nearly as strong as the urge to get rich quick. Try it if you must, but remember that games have rules, breaking the rules will get you thrown out, and losing is no fun at all.
Regards,
Ted
