American Funds has some good funds and GBLAX (A Shares) is one of them. It is a value style fund that is heavy in the large cap space although it does has some good sector allocations form my perspective. I passed, a while back, on putting it into my global hybrid sleeve because of its low yield. Currently, the funds I have in this sleeve are CAIBX, PMAIX and TIBAX.
Both funds (GBLAX & CAIBX) have performed about the same; but, if you are looking for yield and wanting to stay within the American Funds family with a global hybrid type fund my choice was CAIBX.
