The Closing Bell: US Stock Indexes Move Higher In Afternoon Trading; Oil Rises

TedTed
edited July 2017 in The Bullpen
FYI: Technology companies and banks led U.S. stock indexes modestly higher in afternoon trading Thursday, extending gains from the day before. Big retail chains and other consumer-focused stocks were among the gainers. Health care companies were among the laggards. Investors were making moves ahead of the next corporate earnings reporting season, which ramps up Friday.
Regards,
Ted
