Barry Ritholtz: When E. F. Hutton Talks . . . Brokerage Commercials From The 1970s And 80s.

FYI: We were discussing this in the office the other day. I am old enough to recall seeing (but not exactly understanding) these commercials in the 1970s and 80s.

What is so amazing about them is not the fact that anyone actually traded on overheard snippets of information or on random conversations wth salespeople, but rather that EVERYONE did — that was standard operating procedure.
