Lipper: Bond Funds Post Gains for the Second Consecutive Quarter

FYI: Fixed income funds appreciated 1.42% on average for Q2 2017, following the
group’s gain of 1.57% for Q1 2017.
The positive returns among fixed income funds were almost universal; the only
Thomson Reuters Lipper fixed income peer groups suffering losses for Q2 were
Inflation-Protected Bond Funds (-0.47%) and Specialty Fixed Income Funds
(-0.41%). The quarter’s fund-flows data also confirmed investors’ demand for fixed
income funds: the group took in $36.3 billion of net new money.
