can someone suggest a good mutual fund with an allocation low in equity and higher in fixed income, like 20-80? Preferably a good tax adjusted return. I'm not looking for monthly dividends.
i would clarify your desired equity allocation. Vwinx is about 40% VTMFX is 60% both great long term records.
You can march down the equity percentages at Vanguard and not go wrong long term. It is a bit debatable if their management adds much to the same % mix of ETfs for example but the fees are so low it is hard to go wrong
