FYI: The S&P 500 is up 1.3% this month, bringing its year-to-date gain to 8.6%, but some exchange traded funds (ETFs) are easily topping the benchmark U.S. equity gauge this month.
With just two trading days left in May, just over 30 ETFs, including leveraged ETFs, have posted month-to-date gains of 10% or more. Underscoring the theme of international stocks, including emerging markets, outperforming U.S. equities this year, a significant percentage of May's best-performing ETFs feature no exposure to U.S. stocks.
