When Do Markets Close For Memorial Day? U.S. & U.K.

FYI: U.S. financial markets will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day, to honor the men and women who have lost their lives while serving in the military.

Stock markets will be closed on Monday but will see regular trading hours on Friday. The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association recommended trading for fixed income securities to stop at 2 p.m. Eastern on Friday and to remain closed on Memorial Day.

The U.K. has its own iteration of Memorial Day, known as Remembrance Day, on Nov. 11, but financial markets there will be closed Monday for country’s spring bank holiday.
Regards,
Ted
