Here's a statement of the obvious: The opinions expressed here are those of the participants, not those of the Mutual Fund Observer. We cannot vouch for the accuracy or appropriateness of any of it, though we do encourage civility and good humor.
So, like a good little girl, I go out looking for the report as cited in the Yahoo article. I have concluded that either my Goggle talents have diminished or there is no report (available?). In fact, as best I can tell, the Telegraph reported some quotes from either some Credit Suisse analysts or their report which is not available for others to read. I concluded this because most of the subsequent references seem to be based on the Telegraph article.
Anyhow, this is a bad to worse case scenario indeed or as catch said we would not "like the smell..........."
UPDATE: Thursday, 4pm. Had a few minutes to sniff around regarding the Credit Suisse oil story. CS doesn't have any current story posted at their web site regarding oil; with the last oil related story from mid-March when the article authors were concerned about about an upper price spike that would hurt economies recovering. I'm sure we small folks will have access to the story in another 6 months. I would prefer to read the original story or hear the words coming from the author(s) mouths. Perhaps a story was needed to facilitate a pending algo/machine trade........oh !!!!, call me Mr. Max Skeptical, eh? However, if Brent/WTI oil goes to $50, there may be buys in many areas, eh? 'Course, this would depend on how much cash one has remaining after the equity sell-off. Ok, I am off the bitch box; and congratulations to CNBC for a story that one can not verify from a very large global investment house. Not that this is the only non-verifiable story floating everyday.
