Investing in Europe is starting to look appealing—especially in the financial sector. But investors need to look at the sector allocation and hedging strategies of Europe ETFs.
The United Kingdom government invoked Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty on Wednesday, triggering a two-year countdown for the U.K. and the European Union to agree on terms. The headlines are calling it a divorce, but on Wall Street, Brexit appears to be more of a conscious uncoupling, as European stock indexes rose slightly.
As fears of political and economic instability in Europe have waned, the bulls are running. Some $1.5 billion has gone into Europe-focused exchange-traded funds in the last week.
