For The Best Bonds, Travel To Emerging Markets, Says Brandywine Fund Manager
Also global: PRSNX. In the EM bonds portion of my portfolio, I've held PREMX since summer of 2010. I'm more than pleased. The PRSNX has proven to be a good partner, for my fixed income slice.
I dunno why anyone would pay to get into a front-loaded fund, particularly a bond fund... (???)
Hi Crash, an advantage of investing through a brokerage is getting ostensibly load funds without the load - load waived A shares are very often available at different brokerages, e.g., for the linked fund, at Fidelity, here. Cheers, AJ
Brandywine. One of the most overrated fund families of all time. You know I feel at least Janus has some shame. I don't see their managers appearing in print articles. I can say that about Oak Associates too. They are quietly going about their business, and that's probably why have earned back some modicum of credibility.
I really want some mutual fund families to disappear. Hoping AMG will retire this brand. BTW, it's amazing TEFQX still exists. Did anyone know? Well at least Landis is not doing print articles. Which brings me to my point - the brandywine article is a marketing stunt. Now they are experts on emerging bonds. Who knew? And oh wait! Brandywine and Legg Mason together. WOW!
