IBD's Paul Katzeff: TD Ameritrade joins the escalating Fidelity-Schwab brokerage price war
Is it me or is this latest round of commission wars the retail brokerage industry's way of pleading, begging, and/or cajoling individuals to get more active and trade more than they probably should?
I seem to remember this sort of stuff going on in 2007-08, too. Folks got sucked in, began thinking they could be amazing daytraders ("trade like/with the pros!") and we all saw what happened when the euphoria collapsed during the GFC.
Can I call a near-term market top on this factoid?
