https://www.raymondjames.com/wealth-management/market-commentary-and-insights/investment-strategyMy Market Barometer & Equity Weighting Matrix open the year with a reading of 147 calling for an equity weighting within my portfolio of 49%. A reading of 135 would result in a weighting of 45% while a reading of 165 would call for a weighting of 55% and a reading of 150 for an equity weighting of 50% (neutral weighting). Currently, due to a seasonal trend investment strategy I am overweight equities, at this time, with a weighting in the 52/53% range% although the matrix currently calls for a weighting of 47% with a reading of 144. With this, the barometer has the market scored as a little overvalued but not overbought.
http://www.morningstar.com/market-valuation/market-fair-value-graph.aspxIn looking at the markets this morning, as I write, Europe is down while Asia-Pacific is mostly down with China and Sinagapore up. In the States the futures are pointing for both stocks and bonds to be down.
