Pros Sift Opportunities After Stock Funds Ride Postelection Surge

FYI: The postelection stock market euphoria got a slight damper at the end of November as mutual fund investors realized global economies were still facing a lot of uncertainties, which could spur further volatility.

The S&P 500 soared to its high of 2213.35 on Nov. 25. It then gave back a small portion of its gains to end the month up 3.4%. Friday's positive job-market report helped equities tick back up as unemployment came in at a surprise 4.6%, the lowest level in nine years. With that, a Fed rate hike in December is nearly a certainty.
