Gundlach’s Total Return Fund Sees First Outflow Since 2014
(1) ytd, I think it would be fair to say that performance has been below the expectations of most investors in the fund; (2) he has said, on numerous occasions, almost since inception in fact, that DoubleLine would consider a soft close for this vehicle at around $50B, and we be over $61B and no talk of holding the fund's size in check yet, so...... what's up with that? Maybe it's time for investors to do some trimming/slimming.
Could be a little on the late side. The fund's been positioned conservatively on both rates and credit for a while, and since the turn in rates, it's top decile again if you judge it as a core intermediate fund.
