FYI: (Click On Article Title At Top Of Google Search) "Queens Road Value: Finding Bargains in a Pricey Market"
After nearly a decade of underperformance, value investing has staged a comeback in 2016, and Steve Scruggs is ready to ride the trend.
Scruggs has been the portfolio manager of the Queens Road Value fund (ticker: QRVLX) for the past dozen years. (He has also been at the helm of the Queens Road Small Cap Value fund (QRSVX) since its inception in 2002.) Although the Value fund has suffered in recent years with the ascent of momentum and growth investing styles, it has still outperformed its large-cap value peers in the past one- and three-year periods. And with value coming back into favor, the fund, which boasts a four-star rating from Morningstar, is up 10.4% year-to-date, beating both its category and the Standard & Poor’s 500 index, which are up 8.1% and 7.8%, respectively.
