MSCFX, my domestic small-cap fund. This surely cannot go on at such a pace, but the rest of you deserve to hear: in 16 days, my stake is up 4.448%. How do ya like DEM apples?

  • Interesting. Last 7 days my SMCWX American Funds Smallcap World Fund is down 0.65%, but YTD it's up 14.3%, same as MSCFX.

    Here's how it compares with a few other small caps I track (RYSEX, ARIVX, LLSCX):

    At this rate, the young MSCFX should attract substantial inflows.

    Even sweeter given the down-played expectations. A reminder of David's commentary from last October just after the fund opened:

    "If you’re looking for excitement, look elsewhere. If you want the next small cap star, go away. It’s not here."
