Investors Cried ‘Dividends, Dividends,’ As U.S.-Stock Funds Rose 4.1% in July

FYI: Mutual-fund investors might still have hope, after all, for a year-to-date gain in U.S.-stock portfolios.
The advances in the stock market in early July helped the average diversified U.S.-stock mutual fund to a 4.1% total return for July, and a year-to-date advance of 5.7%, according to data from Thomson Reuters Corp. ’s Lipper unit
