FYI: July was a gift. When Brexit -- the U.K's vote to exit the European Union -- clobbered the market on June 24 and 27, few investors dared to be optimistic. But lo and behold, July turned into a rebound month, with U.S. diversified stock mutual funds returning 4.05% on average as the S&P 500 gained 3.69%, according to Lipper Inc.
