Market Recap: 7/29/16

FYI: A choppy morning and a quiet afternoon – it’s been a familiar sight in the markets of late, and on a Friday afternoon in summer pretty typical as people head out early for a weekend in the Hamptons. In Michigan we leave Friday to head “up north” for summer weekends. The S&P 500 gained 0.16% and the NASDAQ 0.14%.

The market was resilient in the face of some really pathetic GDP #s. But of course that means no Federal Reserve rate hikes which is mostly what the market seems to care about nowadays anyhow.
Regards,
Ted
