At first glance, Jim Cullen and Jennifer Chang couldn’t seem more different. Cullen, 77, grew up in New Jersey, studied finance at Seton Hall University, and became a Navy officer on an aircraft carrier before eventually starting his now $18 billion firm, Schaffer Cullen Capital Management, in 1983. Chang, 38, was born and raised in Texas, studied chemical engineering at Rice University, and worked in management consulting for Bain & Co. before heading to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
