July Rate Cut ?

FYI: As the world grapples with the uncertainties following Friday’s Brexit vote, questions have begun to emerge among investors as to whether the Federal Reserve may need to reverse its tightening plan and cut interest rates.

  • Consensus seems to be that unless things turn rather dramatically and quickly, there will be no increase until December, at the earliest. I would say that seems a fairly safe bet, given the BREXIT-caused turmoil in global markets.
