Lipper: Despite Rate-Increase Fears, Fund Investors Prefer Fixed Income Over Equity

FYI: During the fund-flows week ended May 25, 2016, the equity markets continued on their path of range-bound trading and suffered precipitous declines caused by interest-rate fears followed by a rapid ascent as investors began to believe that perhaps the economy is in better shape than previously thought. Investors were particularly bothered by the minutes from the Federal Reserve’s latest meeting, which highlighted the central bank’s intent to raise interest rates soon, provided the fundamentals of the U.S. economy remain steady.
